After plenty of obstacles and hiccups along the way, the Kings of Wrestling are finally in the WWE. Both of them.
Though the company signed Claudio Castagnoli, now known as Antonio Cesaro in Florida Championship Wrestling, several months ago, it took a while to get his former ROH tag team partner Chris Hero (now Kassius Ohno) under contract due to issues with naturally-elevated testosterone levels.
Both halves of the former Kings of Wrestling are now down in WWE’s developmental territory, but they’re working as singles competitors rather than in the tag team that made them famous.
Though I have no doubt that both Cesaro and Ohno can and likely will succeed in the WWE as singles wrestlers, I would absolutely love to see them debut on the main roster as a tag team.
While teaming together in ROH, Cesaro and Ohno developed a reputation as one of the very best tag teams in all of professional wrestling, and they could provide a monstrous lift to the WWE’s ever-so-struggling tag team division.
